Events

FBSA events are focussed on providing students with opportunities to meet other students and industry.

 We hold a range of Social, Wellbeing, Education and Professional Development events and activities throughout the year and encourage all students to attend as they provide a great opportunity to meet and interact with students studying business and commerce.

• Behaviour: Flinders Business Students’ Association reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to an Flinders Business Students’ Association event, or eject any person from an Flinders Business Students’ Association event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by Flinders Business Students’ Association staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

• Canvassing by delegates is strictly prohibited at Flinders Business Students’ Association events and forums. Promotional materials may not be distributed at the event/forum except by event sponsors. Delegates violating this policy will be asked to leave the event and Flinders Business Students’ Association members may have their membership revoked.

• Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be received in writing before the registration closing date unless stated otherwise in the specific event terms and conditions. No refunds will be given after the registration closing date.

• Image release: In registering for Flinders Business Students’ Association events and conferences, delegates grant permission to Flinders Business Students’ Association, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image/likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotional, news, on-line/multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for Flinders Business Students’ Association. Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from Flinders Business Students’ Association in respect of their image/likeness or its use. Delegates release, discharge, and hold harmless, Flinders Business Students’ Association and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video. Should a delegate not agree to the above image release, they must advise Flinders Business Students’ Association by contacting

• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT): If paying via EFT, a completed copy of the registration form along with a remittance advice is needed in order for the registration to be processed by Flinders Business Students’ Association. Payment by EFT will not be accepted after the registration closing date. Your registration is not confirmed until you have received a receipt and confirmation email from Flinders Business Students’ Association.

• Payment: To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.

• Privacy notice: Flinders Business Students’ Association is concerned with the protection of your privacy. We support the privacy principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as amended. Flinders Business Students’ Association collects and stores your personal information for the purposes of providing membership services, education and training programs. Here is how your data may be used: Communication from Flinders Business Students’ Association: Flinders Business Students’ Association may use your details to promote products and services in the form of email communications and/or other types of communication. Email  if you would prefer not to receive communications from Flinders Business Students’ Association. For the purposes of the event: Your details will be provided to parties directly related to the conference including the conference registration manager, venues and accommodation providers for the purpose of room bookings, catering needs and other conference options. Communication from 3rd parties: Event sponsors and exhibitors may be provided with delegate details following the event. • Program: Flinders Business Students’ Association reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard.

• Registration Notice: Flinders Business Students’ Association member registration rates are not transferable to non- Flinders Business Students’ Association members. By selecting a member registration rate, it is agreed that the registrant is a current financial member of Flinders Business Students’ Association and that the registration is made in the Flinders Business Students’ Association member's name only. A breach of this may result in a cancellation of an event registration and/or Flinders Business Students’ Association membership

• Registration and Payment: Payment in full is required by the event date in order to attend.

• In consideration for receiving permission to attend the Flinders Business Students’ Association, event I hereby FOREVER RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Flinders Business Students’ Association, and its directors, officers, agents, contractors, insurers, equipment suppliers, volunteers and/or the registered proprietor of the land and any of its affiliates upon which the event is held and event venue (hereinafter referred to as RELEASEES) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, while participating in such activity, while in, on or upon the premises/land where the activities are being conducted, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH LOSS IS CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES, or otherwise and regardless of whether such liability arises in tort, contract, strict liability, or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law.
